Campaigning in Florida, Dean congratulated the U.S. troops who nabbed Saddam on Saturday and said the development should "set a new course" for internationalizing Iraqi reconstruction allowing the United States to bring soldiers home.

The idea that Dean, or any anti-war person (surely Kucinich is being tarred with this same nonsense) wanted Saddam to remain in power is ludicrous. But there were more than just two choices: waging illegal unprovoked war or doing nothing. Of course, we got to the point we were back in March because too many U.S. governments had financed and support Saddam and sold him all he needed to build weapons of mass destruction.

The photos of Rumsfeld with Saddam should be an important part of the national campaign. Records of what was sold to him and when.

The war was wrong in March and it's been wrong every day since.
