"Old sweat sock beats Unelectable GWB in general election"
tape at 11.

We - all of us - have the power to make whoever our nominee is electable in the general election, compared to our unelectable resident-in-thief Shrub.

Even (loathsome to me) Lieberman is electable compared to George "unelectable" Bush, who like Ford will go down in the history books as occupying the office without ever having won an election.

Arguments that "Candidate X" is unelectable mean nothing. I intend to fight like a rabid dog backed into a corner for whoever the nominee is, and I would advise all people posting "Dean is unelectable" or "Clark is unelectable" or "Whoever is unelectable" posts to get it in their heads that they will do the same.

There is no reason why in a democracy, we should be ruled over by an organized crime family. The faster we get Cheney's evil claws away from the levers of power, the better off the whole world will be.

I can give you 10 reasons why a cat in a vegetative coma (CIVC) would be a better president than Chimpy - we have the power to promote and make a winner of ANYONE the Democrats nominate. If we so choose. Let's choose.

(10. CIVC would not break any more treaties
9. CIVC would not "pre-emptively" invade foreign countries
8. CIVC would not nominate right wingers for the federal judiciary
7. CIVC would not out undercover CIA agents
6. CIVC has no war profiteers in his family
5. CIVC would not mispronounce "nukular"
4. CIVC would not don embarrasing flight suit
3. CIVC tax policy is much more progressive than Bush's
2. CIVC has a more measured, less hysterical response to international terrorism
1. CIVC does not favor oil companies interests over other American interests)

4. "nukular" physics
You make some good points, ProfessorPlumIn the DrawingRoomWithaKnife, but I'll remind all and sundry that the intelligent and well-educated Liberal Jimmy Carter also pronounces "nuclear" as "nukular." I no longer use this as the gold-standard of intelligence, as so many people mispronounce it. (I don't know why. It ain't that tough to get it right!)

I'll tell you what bugs me: when people, in writing, use "it's" instead of "its." And vice versa. This is beyond mere sloppy grammar, and indeed beyond the pale.
