Sen. Graham stands up for Dean at Democratic fundraiser
Under a barrage of attacks from Democratic competitors who say his opposition to the Iraq war makes him a weak presidential candidate, Howard Dean won some political cover Tuesday from a former rival: Florida Sen. Bob Graham.

Graham, addressing some of the party's most influential players at a dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, near downtown Miami, defended Dean's foreign policy agenda as "visionary." He also called on Democratic candidates to end their sniping.

I really think that Graham is the front runner to be Dean's running mate should Dean be nominated.

4. actually he is gaining ground
In October for instance he was running 11-points behind Bush in Pennsylvania now it is 8-points. He is running only 8-points behind Bush in Florida. For a year before the election our candidates are doing pretty well in a country which has a biased media which is pimping itself for Bush.

Also, Bush just got a lift in the polls due to Saddam--it is not likely to last.

5. um... no.
I used to be real worried about this kind of nay-saying and its potential affect on the race. Now I just feel bad for the individual who says it. The tide has turned. GW is a snowball in hell.

Hop on board- make the landslide bigger.

6. My diehard Liberal dad was pleased to hear that
Graham was a contender for Dean's V.P. He said that he liked Dean, but he may be too far left, so he needed someone like Graham to anchor him.

I think he is just so darn nice and he voted his conscience on the IWR and didn't hesitate to speak out against Bush early on. He didn't care if it hurt him politically or not. That's what I call integrity.

He would make a great VP.

11. I do too
though in a lot of ways I think Clark would be a stronger ticket should Dean win the nomination. I like Graham and have a great deal of respect for him, but the party wonks think he'll bring Florida. He won't. Florida's a done deal for the Republicans, no matter who actually wins the state.
