Debt Relief? For whom?
So now the Bush administration has sent James Baker to lobby European and Asian countries to voluntarily reduce Iraq's "crushing" debt. W and his minions argue that without such debt relief Iraq won't be able to rebuild and provide needed services and improvements to its infrastructure.

And all of this rhetoric while these same politicians are increasing our debt, er, make that our children's debt, to astronomical proportions.

So, let me get this straight. High debt is bad for Iraq, but ok for the USA? I must have missed that lesson in economics class when I was in college.

4. LOL Lets drive housing prices up another 30%.....
..with expansions of the home mortage usary deduction while we are at it. Make bankers even fatter and happier. Pass another multi hundred billion $$$ program that the heavily payroll and sales taxed poor cant use but the wealthy can eat up with thei income tax deductions. Keep the poor poorer forever.

WAIT A MINUTE...... John Edwards has already proposed such a measure . Silly Me.

Man we sure have a lousey field this year in the top tier. Edwards even uses his new proposal as proof that he is an "outsider"..." tired of typical 'Washington politics'" almost every speach.

Dean is starting to look awfully attractive lol.

Anyway real reform would be to end the mortgage interest deduction and that ASAP will drive housing prices down into ranges that average Americans can afford then if we insist on a government program in its stead then perhaps a plan that allows home builders to pay little to no income taxes , which could further drop housing prices down dramatically especially if we require price and profit controls simultaniousily.....gee lets see Edwards "outsider" plan would make an overpriced $130,000 house remain that far out of the reach of the poor while my REAL reform plan (a real reform plan is impossible to pass anyway plus most politicians are so out of touch it wouldnt even hit them) would make the average house about half that cost for struggling Americans.

Bet the bankers just love the 7% interest on a $150,000 loan they heist with the governments help millions of times a year on struggling Americans backs. John Edwards... man I hope that jokers political career ends ASAP once he is strongly rejected by voters in a month or so. Maybe if he re ran for the Senate where he fits in then I could possibly support a comeback.
