How many people want Clark for VP or Pres?
I want Clark for President. However, I seem to think many people want him as number 2 on the ticket. Regardless of who you support for President or Vice President, would you want Clark somewhere on the Dems ticket for 2004? Or do you flat out reject him and think he adds no value to the Ticket against Bush?

4. Yes I would appreciate him
I think he would add a lot to Dean's run. I am a little weary of having someone who has never been elected to anything at the top of our ticket.

6. Dean/Clark
I think that would be very strong. I'm not sure how interested I'd be in him if he was the presidential nominee.

7. Clark As #2 To Anyone Would Make Me Reconsider
Clark #1, no. Dean/Clark just might beat out Kerry - if Kerry really blew it on his own pick. But I think a Kerry/Graham would be stronger than Dean/Clark.

Why do I feel like we are trading baseball cards?

8. As a Canadian..
..I desperately want Clark to be the next President of the US!
Not only because I feel that he is the candidate with the best chance of beating Bush, but he seems to be a man of honor, integrity, TRUTH, and best of all, he has the progressive viewpoints that America desperately needs to return to.

9. Clark, Kerry. Dean, Graham...
I still haven't decided how I want them lined up-- after all, primaries are along way off and anything can happen.

But, any combination would do. Some are better than others, of course, and I would pay to see Clark debate Shrub on defense and security. Or just about anything else, for that matter.

VP candidates, btw, seem to have rarely made much difference in the general election.

12. Maybe you didn't notice
... that if the military really had been running the government, we wouldn't have invaded Iraq. It's the chickenhawks and the civilians at the Pentagon who having been pushing this thing; the active and retired military brass have been distinctly dubious about it, and in some cases (Clark himself being one example) outright opposed.

Which is not to say that your comment is anything other than a non sequitur. Clark isn't "the military"; he's a retired general. He's made numerous comments that indicate a sophisticated awareness of the importance of constitutional legitimacy, a key issue for *any* candidate in this cycle, when the Democrats are facing an illegitimate regime that's contemptuous of democracy. West Pointers are drilled in the principle of civilian control of the government and the military; we have less to fear from them than from chickenhawks like Cheney.

17. That is very discriminatory
To say you are against someone because they were in the Military? That seems pretty petty and narrow minded.

Your implimentation that because someone in the military wants to serve his or her country they are attempting to "take over" country is as bad the Republicans saying that all Gay people that want to be teachers want to molest children.

Wesley Clark is a human being, and thankfully, he doesn't have a Republican mindset that catagorizes people into little packages like you do rather than being to lazy to take the time to get to know the person as an individual.

18. YEAH, I thought us lefties were not bigots
You can't label someone just because they
were in the military. Our military and armed
forces are full of great people.

The left needs to embrace it and take it back
so we can avoid more wars and more soldiers dying.

We are seen as superior on domestic policy, why not
take back foreign policy and military matters back
as well.

Didn't the dems control nearly everything during
WW2. Wasn't that the "greatest generation".

Don't let certain fears plague us. We need to
stop war by waging it on the right and getting
the trust and control of the military back to
the left.

It's the best thing we can do for the planet,
our allies, and those that fear us.
