Roll Call: Kucinich Broke House Ethics Rules
http://www.rollcall.com/issues/49_63/news/3947-1.html

In his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich violated House ethics rules designed to prevent Members from using official government resources to benefit their political campaigns.

Kucinich’s campaign failed to abide by House ethics regulations, which forbid a Member’s campaign from immediately publicizing material that was released by his Congressional office.

The House allows campaigns to distribute a press statement drafted by the Member’s Congressional staff, but requires that a reasonable amount of time lapse between the date of original issuance and its subsequent reproduction for political purposes. More than three dozen press statements issued by Kucinich’s House office were immediately placed on his campaign Web site.

1. Three seconds is a reasonable amount of time...
Oh man, I can see this going around for weeks. Meanwhile, the same House shits who conspired to overturn the election with an impeachment are still walking around outside of prison. Give me a fucking break!

5. Alright! The fangs are bared!
He's a real candidate now, folks.

The media is attacking him on sleazy, stupid, nonissues that they'd never even consider lobbing at a Republican.

ha ha ha

7. Because those are the rules
Congressman can't use press releases too quickly because then it is like they are using their staffers, that are government paid, to run their campaign which is illegal. It isn't that big of a deal, but Roll Call found out about it and decided it was worthy of reporting.

8. Rules schmules
Kucinich is still getting air time for a strong liberal message. people wanting his supporters, any vote they can get, move toward the message even if slightly. Whether the solutions are realistic enough, the truth does hurt and the GOP wants it off air or mitigated. Or maybe they are trying rile up Kucinich supporters into remaining steady.

In any event they throw punches at all rivals or dissenters, candidates or not.
