Media giving Clark the Kucinich treatment

The Bush administration is terrified of the General. That is why the states that he is going to win are being ignored. South Carolina has only one more electoral vote than Oklahoma and yet I'll bet most people don't even know that Wes Clark is going to win Oklahoma next Tuesday. On March 9, Clark will take the 34 votes in Texas and possibly the 9 votes in Louisiana and six more in Mississippi. Let's see how the news media will ignore that! By the time Clark picks up the 9 votes in Alabama in June, it will be down to Kerry and Clark. The choice is simple; do you want another four more years of GW, or will you give a Washington outsider the chance to change history?

I think the general will come in second in Oklahoma and lose convincingly everywhere else. He will then sink back into obscurity where he belongs. The nomination will be secured long before March 9th. A choice between Clark and Bush wouldn't , IMO , be much of a choice.

Bush is going down in flames. Tell your people to tell their people they should be scared of anyone with a pulse, and moreso if that pulse is attached to a brain as sharp as Clark's or as risk-taking as Dean's.

Clark absolutely terrifies the administration, perhaps in part because he can appeal to such a wide spectrum of voters. The mainstream media coverage of him this year has been ludicrous. I have just about bought into the "vast rightwing media conspiracy" theory, because it seems that major media outlets are omitting coverage or marginalizing him at every opportunity.

Also, I'd like to point out that his New Hampshire third place showing should have attracted a great deal more positive comment (from an unbiased press, anyway). Clark is from Arkansas, a Southern state, and yet he fared quite well in New Hampshire running against other candidates who had been in the race much longer. Some of them even came from geographically more proximate states.

Clark has continued to raise money at an impressive rate, and he draws large and enthusiastic crowds. His campaign has momentum, but the pundits just can't bear to acknowledge that fact yet.
