The only realistic thing I could come up with was to find a liberal or moderate and independently wealthy Republican to run against him in the primary. Still, we'd be left with a Republican in his seat, but even a blind and retarded ape would be a vast improvement at this point.

I've lived in Tom DeLay's district since he was in the Texas Lege and was known as Hot Tub Tom. Last night, Lisa and I witnessed the strongest candidate I've ever seen run against Tom. His name is Richard Morrison.

It was also the largest Democratic turn-out in this county in the past ten years. People told us that they are no longer afraid to say that they are Democrats.
