2. But where are they from
and what do they mean?

(BTW, you might mention in the headline that large graphics are included in the post for the slow-connections people.)

3. SoCalDem, I'm missing the point here I think...
...Are the colors significant of anything? Like as in political party affiliation: Red=repugs, Blue=dems, White=undecided? One thing that jumps right out at me is that Canada and Mexico are still not designated as states #51 and #52 on these maps. Do you think four more years of BushCo could change that?:silly:

4. Great stuff! What's with eastern OK?
Hey,

Looks like the 2000 election, color coded by margins of victory for Gore (blue) and Bush (red.) What jumped out at me as unexpected was the large amount of blue in eastern OK, a state that went overwhelmingly for Bush. Can any Okie comment?

5. Oh if this was the 2000 election overlay...
...haven't repugs in most areas gerrymandered the voting districts in their favor?

These are maps of where the contributions cmae/come from.. But it does show distinct pockets of "opportunity".. even in the reddest states ..

All calculations are based on records filed with the FEC of contributions by all individuals
totalling more than $200 to a single campaign through December 31, 2003.
