Kucnich, the RFK of 2004, will be in San Diego tonight - Aug 4
Recently likened to RFK by a writer for the Des Moines, Iowa Register, Kucinich's candidacy is souring.

Tonight he wil be at The Joan Kroc Community Center
6845 University Avenue (just past Aragon)
San Diego, CA

7 P.M.

Dennis is a must see. Once you see him, you won't want any other candidate.

1. I wish I could go but I am a few thousand miles away
I havent seen him speak yet, he was going to be in Baltimore, but he couldnt make it, and it was a good reason, he was fighting for our medicare. He's a great man, Dennis Kucinich, the ripple of hope as RFK said.

2. Anyone in San Diego....
if you haven't met Dennis, get out there! If you've already settled on another candidate, fine. Go anyway. Go for informational purposes. Find out what he is really all about, and come back and talk to us about it.

4. I once was for Dean that is
before this true soul entered the race. I managed to get my dad to support DK, that wasnt hard because my dad is a lifelong democrat, but hes rank and file I would say, he even had plans to buy a big Kucinich banner, but it was out of our budget lets say.

11. I hear that, mmm.
I was initially attracted by Dean. Until I took a closer look at DK. Many of us had lost hope in ever having a politician actually represent what we stand for...and DK brings back the hope. That's the part that people don't get. He sparks a long-starved hope for America.

5. It's always the dumb typos that make it through, isn't it :-
Or at least it always is for me.

You meant to type 'soaring', of course. :)

8. Oh coool...tell us more...
I've noticed that DK does tend to cause many standing ovations...
Good news about the VIPs...yes...taking flight....

and yes I am glad the candidacy is soaring....instead of souring.....must be too late for me cause I just couldn't figure that one out- thanks, Mairead. :)

Keep going Dennis!!!!!!

Peace

12. All the good seats were gone when I arrived half an hour before
the event. It was a large auditorium but definitely not large enough. After he finished, everyone stayed - including those standing. He answered questions from the audience as he always does and, although his presentation was great, his answers to the audience's questions were even more impressive. From the continued applause, it was clear that that he was giving the audience the answers they were looking for.

One of the presenters was Fernando Suarez del Solar, a man whose son was killed in Iraq. You may have heard about him. The government initially lied to him about how his son died. He feels that the best way to stop what is going on in Iraq is to support Dennis. He has formed a support group of families of troops in Iraq and is devoting as much time as he can to help Dennis become President.

A great many celebrities in the audience received considerable applause. I was impressed to see William Rivers Pitt there. I understand that William Pitt told one of the people watching the event "He's the man." Mike Byron who ran as a Democratic write-in candidate against Issa after the official Democrat dropped off the ballot, received a thunderous applause.

During the question and answer session, Dennis spoke about 9/11 and the misuse of the event to attack Iraq. He also spoke about the fact that they used a homing devise on the missile that was intercepted during the Star Wars test. Dennis never mentions the other candidates but this is one of the many issues that separates them. Dean supports Star Wars. Dennis also spoke of his commitment to a paper trail and his opposition to privately-owned voting software.

13. He has the idealism of Bobby Kennedy and Bobby's determination to
put people first. Dennis's followers have the same passion that Bobby Kennedy's followers had to elect a President that will help all people. And, like Bobby Kennedy, Dennis is the best man for the job. Think of how all the other candidates have spent years skipping out on their jobs to campaign (as little Natasha put it) while Dennis is dedicating himself to representing the people on issues that matter to them.
