Why does it ALWAYS have to be the Democrats that get CAUGHT in these scandals? Or is it just that the Republicans don't get caught? In any case my own governor was involved in a similar scandal, only his was much worse... he can't seek reelection this November due to term limits, but I think he has blown the chance for a Democrat to win in November here... if only the general public could understand that the Democrat party as a whole is NOT like this!

Paul Patton... had a mistress (Tina Conner) and gave her a lot of special privileges such as helping her husband obtain some sort of minority business status

5. Democrats just get caught because the Repukes are digging in the |
|
personal life of others. Repukes laundry money, Dems have dirty laundry. I prefer to have a good president and a bad husband, than a good husband and a money laundering president.

9. He's been a good governor |
|
Would've won in a landslide, had this not come up. I do think he could've tried for the nomination, but probably thought it would be easier to elect another Democrat than him.

Cecil Underwood being elected was a fluke.

11. Yeah, I've always wondered how he was elected |
|
I know he had universal name recognition, but what was the deal there?
