1. hey, it shouldn't be that difficult
Though I agree it makes sense to not duplicate someone else's work (assuming someone else has done this compilation), keep in mind that you MUST double-check this compilation (should you find it) for accuracy, since you will be publishing this information in an article. So you are going to have to get each candidates positions, regardless. And you must give credit for such a summary, if you find it.

I think you will learn more by making your own summary/table from the orignal source material.

3. No
I love selectsmart, but there democratic presidential candidate test is WAY too simplistic. I think virtually anybody left-of-center winds up scoring Kucinich as their top choice. It's fun, but if you're looking for a source at finding out their positions on the issues, it's not the best site.

10. It's not that it's simplistic, it's that it scores according to the
best-fleshed-out positions. Since Kucinich has by far the most completely-articulated set of positions, you are very likely to get him as your number one choice: you're essentially saying whether or not you like his positions. If other candidates had stances that were better-articulated, you might get one of them as your first choice instead.

11. Interesting site
But the results didn't come out quite as I expected.

My Personal preferences top 4 are:

Green Party, Kucinich, Moseley-Braun, Sharpton

The test gave me: GP, Dean, Kucinich, Kerry

There is a site, and it is pretty good. It has all the dem candidates and all of th bills that they have supported. They also have the position that each candidate is currently taking on current issues.

Here is the bad part. I never book marked it and I have been looking for this page for like a month now. So is there a site? Yes. Do I know where it is? No.

edit: Maybe try some of the links at the very bottom of this page http://www.politics1.com/p2004.htm

has alot of posts on Kerry and the issues. But, going to the site is best, and the same with all the other candidates. Take the time. It will be more worth it to you in the long run.

Keith...I bumped a few threads for you on Kerry and Kucinich. The one thread on Kucinich from Tinoire has just about all the info you need on him.

9. Moveon.org might have some info
I know they had blurbs on each candidate. Not sure if they really did side-by-side comparisons, though.

13. Coupla good ones here...
http://www.globalstewards.org/democrats.htm#lab

They rank candidates here. They can't rank Dean, Sharpton and Braun b/c they use actual voting records. But, they link to the candidates sites for more info.

http://www.issues2002.org/default.htm *another one here* This site can be confusing as it still has info from 2000 on it. However, click on the candidate running on the left and you will have comprehensive information.
