Kerry rails against Bush on soldiers' pay cut
As he done stalwartly, Kerry again takes a stand against Bush. This time, on Bush/Pentagon's plan to cut the soldiers in Iraq's pay.

1. Great to see!

Of course the thing that bothers me about both his and deans statements today is the fact that this is not new news. This has been known for a while.

Why is it that our polititians seem to always be the last to know? The very people we have in place in order to make informed decisions seem more and more ill informed.

3. It may not be new to you as you are tooned into all this but....
It will be new to many. Look how Bush said over and over about Iraq and the airplanes. Now most people think they flew the planes into those building. The facts must be repeated . If lies are and are believed then we better do it about the truth. You man not recall but what the gov. debt was, was put out dayly many times by the GOP when they wanted it cut in the 90's. It worked and people stated to talk about it. Dem should be doing the same.

4. It was known that it was being discussed...
But, the decision wasn't announced til Thursday.

Dems had been fighting from within their congressional committees to keep it from happening. But, it's not unusual for the Bushies to trot something out, then withdraw it quickly when they realize more of the public noticed than they expected.

2. Got an email from VCS
that's Veterans for Common Sense, asking for help in this matter. Made sure to forward it to my brother, a retired Army lifer, and a pesky freeper who once told me that I shouldn't be allowed to vote because my opinions weren't like hers...wanted her to see how her hero was "supporting" the troops.

5. He's always a day late and a $ short.
Other candidates have been announcing their opposition that the Bushies EVEN CONSIDER this dastardly move.

Kerry is not a leader. He only speaks when he has to, by public opinion. So flame me. That's my opinion.

6. Wrong, revcarol....
Kerry has been working for many months on this particular issue. His official reply was to the official action.

No candidate has Kerry's record of being at the forefront on veteran's issues. NONE.

Have you ever taken the time to look into his work on veteran's issues, especially health issues?
