Great Kucinich rallies in San Diego and Irvine
Or were they anti-Bush rallies? Such an overwhelming number of protestors were Kucinich supporters that they could have either been Kucinich or anti-Bush rallies. San Diego's rally was especially enormous. It stretched along a field over a quarter of a mile long next to a road that ran between the protestors and the Convention Center. After the rally, the protestors marched throught the streets of San Diego.

A young girl asking the crowds at both rallies to fill out surveys said that the overwhelming majority noted on the survey that they were backing Kucinich.

Great job Kucinich people. The campaign has just started and already the message is getting out.

Clinton was in 5th place at this time in 1991.

4. There were hundreds in Irvine.
The Kucinich people had a table, signs and literature. Two kids had signs kindly advising Bush "You too can vote for Kucinich." The really started near one of the streets going into the hotel and later moved to the corner of Jamboree. The Kucinich people brought the weapons of mass destruction signs from the Kucinich Aug 3rd rally. In view of the surveys, it was clear that the vast majority of people were pro-Kucinich. I noticed that the small number of suporters of a certain other candidate took their signs right up to one of the news cameras and, judging from the media bias, may get more coverage than the majority of people. At both rallies, people made donations to the Kucinich campaign. The San Diego rally was clearly larger - somewhere between 1000 and 3000. But both were pretty sizable.

7. News stations: 2,4,7,9 and maybe others.
They lied on 9 when they said the rally broke up after the Bush guy grabbed the microphone. It continued.
