At the time I posted that there were many threads listing fantasy cabinets and putting Braun in there. There were also many posters saying they would accept Braun for a cabinet position, but not for the nomination. This was my sarcastic response.
I'll defend any one of them--just for kicks.
- Graham is the only one I'm not so sure of. Would like an escort to formal functions be a cabinet position? I'd imagine Graham cleans up nice, but can he dance? Couldn't tell you.
- Edwards. He understands Wall Street, and esp. corporate ceo wrongdoing and governance. His appointment would be a signal that the Braun administration is serious about transparency in the markets.
- If Lieberman gives up his Senate seat, he's not going to get a step up to President anyway. Any job will be a good job.
- Sharpton is the perfect antidote to Ashcroft. I don't believe he's a demogogue (although he may have engaged in demagoguery in the past). He understands justice, and U.S. justice at that.
- Lieberman and Sharpton together: :grouphug:
- Gore would overshadow anybody, whatever he's doing and whomever gets elected. Might as well do his overshadowing where it would be appreciated and do the most good.
- Braun has 25 years of experience in public office, and on behalf of antipodeans, raspberries. The first Maori president is just as credentialed as the fellows, and more than some.
