KERRY's Got a New Website

It appears to have been posted within the last few hours. Looks quite rough at the moment, I'm assuming it's gonna get better -- grainy graphics, lack of color, I'm not quite sure why it's been done, but I suppose he wants to make the website more attractive with his official announcement -- it probably needs a few days to get totally up and running.

5. I hate to nitpick

but I don't like the picture of him on the motorcycle without a helmet. That's not President-ish, that's Gary Busey-ish. I have a friend that got permanent brain damage from riding a motorcycle without a helmet. I know, I know. I sound like I have a stick up my ass, but it was just a gut reaction. The rest of it was pretty good, though. I have never really thought of Kerry as attractive and there were a couple of shots where he looked really good.

7. Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution

Kerry needs to show his rock and roll side. The man's a maniac! How many other candidates ran with the bulls in Pamplona? Or held chicken races with PT boats, Jimi Hendrix blasting? Or tried to do a loop around the Golden Gate bridge in a Cessna?

6. I Love The New Format!

So much easier to navigate! My only gripe is that sometimes they stick with the bright blue font when they should use the darker hue in keeping with the new color scheme (which I love). Maybe even make articles you've alreasy clicked on turn that deep red (instead of...gray? Gray!?!).

PS - If any angels at the campaign can hear my plea, please put the Joe Klein New Yorker (12/02) article back up (and maybe Kerry's statement on the eve of war). It doesn't exist anywhere on the net, and it is a great resource.

10. I have no doubt that Kerry possesses courage....

but calling it the "American Courage" tour and saying that he has the "courage" to do this or that feels a little strange to me.

If I was running his campaign I would have been highlighting his courageous acts, his tours of duty, etc but I would not be stating it in a "look how courageous I am" manner.

Am I the only one who feels that way?
