"ongress is currently considering a bill that would establish a U.S. Department of Peace to add to the President's cabinet of 15 federal agencies that oversee areas such as agriculture, defense, education and homeland security.
The bill, sponsored by Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, has picked up local support led by Phoenicians Shirley Catansaro and Terri Mansfield, along with northern Arizona representative Aleia O'Reilly.
The three will hold a "Dialogue for Peace" Saturday, Sept. 6, in Sedona to present the philosophy behind the bill."
