1. Oh, God!
This will sit on someone's desk for years and we'll never hear anything about it again. It's time to bring back the independent counsel law!

2. This may be the first investigation specifically targeting a Junta member.
This is actually an important watershed. One of many over the last three days or so.

3. This might go someplace
This guy (Earl Devaney - the IG of the Interior Department) was appointed by Clinton, not Bush.

8. Almost everything we know of the BFEE stems
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 10:21 PM by blm
from Kerry's investigations of BCCI, which also led to IranContra and CIA drugrunning. BCCI , the bank, was closed, but, there are still some open court cases scheduled for Jan.2004 that will reopen the spotlight on BCCI. This time the public should pay more attention because 9-11 and Iraq trace directly back to BCCI. So does Bush's Harken deal.

Kerry is the only one who can make that case.

9. From Klamath River to the Ambassador Wilson Affair
The Turd Rove comes up. Just like the rest of Kerry's critics. The BFEE is running scared.

BTW DU: The FAS (Federation of American Scientist) reference above is the Kerry BCCI committee report. If you want a quick summary of what transpired and what it means to us today, try this for starters:

10. A lot happed in BCCI
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 11:14 PM by Nicholas_J
But the following Republican President pardoned those involved.

Not likely to happen if the next president is a democrat.

Just like when Dems went after Nixon...The next Republican President pardoned him.

Blaming Kerry for Poppy Bush's pardon is a joke.

6. Go Kerry!
If nothing else, perhaps it will distract Mr. Rove.

I actually saw a pimply teenager today with a "Bush Cheney 04 -- Keep this Country Rolling" tshirt. Ugh. I hope it was meant to be ironic. You know how those kids are. :)

7. Solid alibi there...
White House spokeswoman Ashley Snee has said it is "entirely appropriate" for members of the president's staff to occasionally provide updates on the president's accomplishments
That's what karl was doing up there in Oregon...

karl's update: "Wait a minute, will ya? I'm thinking! Oh yeah...the pResident has conducted non-destructive testing to determine that dogs don't bounce."
