I got invited to a fundraiser.....for MYSELF!!!

Yay!

A local group of Dems asked if they could throw a fundraiser for my campaign. Sometime in late Sept/early Oct, they want to throw one for me (should bring in a couple grand in small amounts, maybe more).

So far, no large contributions, and I will probably have banked 4,000 of my target 150,000 dollars by the time this event takes place.

Yes, I know the people and I trust them. Have no fear.

Mid-October is the time to start hitting up the big names I'm currently holding back on....this is getting exciting!!!

Once again, thank you for the generosity you DUers have shown. Without you, this local group would have seen a "zero" in my assets and would not take me seriously enough to help out. Your start will always be the first domino in this race.....

2. One thing....

...you may have noticed about me last year. While I ran my mouth a lot, I was rarely ready to lay anything tangible on the tabel. 34 years of sports-related heartbreak taught me lessons.

I said "tangible". My reoputation as a Buckeye didn't fall into that category, I guess.
