Clark's Religion?

Anyone know what Clark's religion is? I stuck my nose up in the air and he smelled Anglican, but he's from the South so I'm guessing it was actually the smell of a Methodist. Help, my Religion sniffer is out of wack. So, what religion in Clark?

but was born Jewish, raised Baptist, and converted to Catholicism which would make him Catholic number three in the race after Kucinich and Kerry.

His dad was Jewish but died when Clark was young. He learned about his Jewish background when he was in his 20's and subsequently contacted his Jewish relatives. Clark is a convert to Catholicism and seems to have been influenced by the Jesuits. He took a sabbatical with them, researching the just causes of war.

His wife, the former Gertrude Kingston, is from an Irish family in Brooklyn.

He does "smell" Anglican-but Catholic is the next closest thing

His bio says Catholic but he is pro-choice. Although he does travel to colleges with the Jesuits. An interesting story: the Pope had doubts about Kosovo's "Just War" status, so Solana, an ex-jesuit and NATO head, and Clark drafted a letter using perfect Jesuit logic. The Pope said "okay."

I know what you mean. Your guy and my guy are Catholics you know and I am Catholic myself. I cant believe theres only been one non protestant president and that was only 45 years ago about and even he just pulled out a victory.

I am also waiting for the first non-christian President. But I somehow think we are talking about something different. I am waiting for the first Presidential candidate brave enough to leave religion out of things.

That has got to be the number one creepy thing that Bush does, as far as I am concerned. With today's international political climate, every time he stands up and says things about our 'Christian Nation' or that god has faxed him some instructions, I cringe.
