Carville "bush lied" bet on Crossfire

James Carville just offered the head of the RNC $1,000 if they can prove that bush didn't lie about having made the "trifecta" claim during the 2000 election.

It reminds me alot of the $5,000 offered by some veterans to anybody who saw bush on active duty during the time he was AWOL.

I think that was what the impeachment was about when Clinton was president. The "trifecta" claim is just one example of bush lying. If lying is grounds for impeachment, then does it matter if the lie is in a speech (bush), before a grand jury (clinton) or in the state of the union address (bush again.)

Now, if you are willing to discuss things, can you see why I might feel that it is worse to lie about the reasons we invaded another country, than it is to lie about having sex with somebody?

It is interesting to read his post and consider how many of those points could be made against bush - waging the tail on the economy is the one that comes to mind first and formost.
