Ralph Nader - Is he any good?
I'm asking an honest question here. I recall Dr. Funk calling him "flaky" once. What's the real deal on Nader? Is it true that that he's more to the right of the Green Party but they chose him because they were desperate for a well-known or fit leader? Sort of like the Labour Party and Tony Blair?

1. No, Not anymore,
He and his supporters are partly responsible for deaths of Iraqi and US soldiers and responsible for any deaths or illness that result srom Bush's mismangement of the environment.

5. Ralph is a great man
This man is utterly true to his ideas. He is squeaky clean the way he lives. There is not a hypocritical bone in his body. He will never 'sell out' for another more obviously favorable end. He will always tell it like he sees it.

7. I like him
I think he went overboard with the "There's no difference between Dems and Repukes" argument in 2000. There's not as much difference as I would like, but there is definitely a difference.

Back to Nader--he is extremely intelligent, dedicated to the common man, and hard-working. He has done much to take on corporations and improve society (safer cars, consumer products, etc.). He is also very well-spoken.

I would love a Nader/Kucinich combo, but I do like Dean as well.

Also, Nader did not cost Al Gore the election--the Supreme Court and Katherine Harris did.

8. I know he was buddies and classmates with Rumsfeld at Princeton
which, in my book, makes him probably a spook.

I worked for one of his PIRG's in college briefly and it was annoyingly Moonie like or Jehovah Witness like -- door to door fopr no money and with annoying tasks to suck people in and it did not really work.

Though I admired him then/

When he said Gore was the same as Bush I became more and more convinced he was a spook for the BFEE (deep cover). 2000 clinched it for me that he was BAD news. What we have now is directly related to Nader's inane assertions the Rethuyglicans like Bush are JJUST LIKE DEMOCRATS like Clinton.

I understand the third party thing and kinda agree with it. But you do NOT do that in an election against a Nazi financed asshole.

The Rumsfeld thing at Princeton (with Carlucci of the CIA and Carlyle group -- Rummy's wrestling teammate at Princeton) with Nader became clear to me when Nader would brag about his relationship with Rummie on the campaign trail in 2000. Princeton, as many of you may know, is the seat of the CIA having graduated the Dulles Brothers who financed Hitler with the Bushes AND created the CIA. semi secret Intelligence "analysts" - usually the old boy networks who gather there to plan intelligence operations and black ops - are Prinvteon regulars.

After JFK fired Allen Dulles from the CIA he secretly ended upo back as a "contract" intelligence analyst at the Princeton collective of old fart spooks.

The secretive groups have a skull like set of secret societies there, tea and/or dinner clubs-- and I would bet Nader was recruited then to be the great liberal hope and a long term mole inside the "progressive left" for the Princteon spooks.

Now this is my own opinion based on years of research and just watching what happened in 2000. Nader is responsible for the shitstorm of death we are in now in many ways.

I coiuld be wrong about him. But either he is a real spook or else he is an arrogant narcissitic asshole who's own self-righteou fanaticism cost m,any p
Nader -- I used to LOVE him too.

But then I found out he was buddies with Rumsfeld.

Spooks are made young and they stay deep in it their whole lives.

10. PS he is also a HUGE investor in the corporations he criticizes
check out his financial disclosure forms for the 2000 elections if you can find them anymore. He had bigger investments in the main bad guy coirporations than Gore did.

It can also be found with a diligent google search of the terms Nader and "financial disclosures) or investments.

He is a stone hypocrite.

14. I Stand By Flaky, But
That's his personality, not his policy. I think that he is brimming with fantastic ideas for government reform, many of which Kerry believes supports as a progressive. Unlike Nader, though, Kerry doesn't make the ideas seem like pipe dreams.

The website provided seems a little tortured to discredit Nader. Most of it can be pretty quickly dismissed as irrelevant. For instance, I don't understand why it is a bad thing for Nader (or Michael Moore, who also gets flak) to be wealthy. I'm not against wealth in and of itself. If I was, I would obviously never support Kerry. But I think of public servants as policy makers, which is one of the reasons I had no problems with Clinton's scandal.

And, finally, I can understand that Nader was trying to get the minimum number of votes to qualify for funding in 2004, but I still think he's an ass for pushing during a contest so close.
