Beware Republican Women

I live in Freeperville, where only Republicans can get elected. I always vote a straight Democratic Ticket, but occasionally have been tempted to vote for the Republican if a woman and unopposed. Never again will I be tempted. Our State Rep. is a woman Republican and she has voted against every femisist issue. We might as well have Trent Lott.
I say, beware of Women in Republican clothing. These ain't women. These are snakes with teeth.

I hope this doesn't sound patronizing but . . .

I live in Massachusetts. Bush doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting our electoral votes, but often we feel our opinions are dismissed because we come from this so-called liberal state (it is not liberal btw, these are blue collar fdr dems that made this a dem state, social security, medicaid etc., but progressive no, quite conservative actually).

I have news for you. If you live in a red state you are on the front lines of the destruction of this country, which, make no mistake, will fiscally collapse if Bush is re-elected and hence has no one to answer to or play moderate with in his second lame duck term.

I don't understand the fear. I was in Nashville recently and was telling everyone in hearing range Bush was a cocksucker. I am brown btw, Indian American and can be easily mistaken for an arab. But what gets me is 3 million voted for Bush in Texas, he won by a landslide and they call it a redneck state. BUT, 2 MILLION PEOPLE VOTED FOR AL GORE IN TEXAS. That is more Dems than we have in Massachusetts I think! Y'all just need to spread the word.

I'm from Texas and most of the time voted GOP, until my current nightmare. But the GOP women are selling us all out and I guess are just too stupid to realize it. It's SCARY.

I don't agree with the whole democratic platform, but NOW I have a personal problem with Bush behind my baby girl. I don't know much about politics, but I'm willing to learn because I finally snapped to where the problem was and where the answers weren't.

Look around and you'll see that we have all types of people here at DU (and in the party). Not everyone is going to agree with the whole platform. We need your vote to "lose bush."

I see there are lots of different people here. I've had a difficult time on some boards because of my issues and being outspoken.

I've been posting at vote.com as NUO and it's not been too much fun. They have accused me of being over here (I think this is the forum), so I thought I'd check it out.

It took me a long time to accept some things I really didn't want to, but now losing bush is personal for me. If we lose him, I think we have the best chance of losing the problems. If we don't, I'm afraid we are heading straight into fascism.

7. I married a Republican women

And have successfully broken her from paying allegience to that party. She isn't a Democrat, but she's given up the Reich.

Our problem is we lived with tons of Republicans and UNLIKE me, she doesn't like rocking the boat so won't take stands if it flies in the face of the masses. Me? I'll tell them what a load of shit they believe.

We are moving to Hagerstown, Maryland and I am not sure if that neighborhood will be more Democrat than the place we lived in Western Richmond,Va area. I expect it will be a little more Dem, but who knows.

At least my congressman won't be Peter Forbes or Eric Cantor (Cantor is horrific).
