Edwards to appear on `Face the Nation'

Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., will be on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday morning to answer questions about his run for the presidency. In Charlotte, the news-interview show airs at 11:30 a.m. on WBTV (Channel 3).Edwards will also get a national audience Thursday when he and the other Democratic presidential candidates appear in a debate in New York co-sponsored by The Wall Street Journal and CNBC.

The 90-minute debate will center on the economy and be shown on CNBC at 4 p.m.

On Friday, Edwards was in Raleigh, touring the N.C. emergency operations center and getting briefed on state and federal efforts to survey damage and help restore services after Hurricane Isabel. -- TIM FUNK
