I don't think he's ever endorsed a national Democrat before. These are exactly the kind of voters that we need to bring home to the Democratic party.

Since the ONLY reasonable defense for voting for worthless fucking pieces of shit like Taylor are because they at least help the Democrats organize the House, and since that worthless fucking piece of shit has not even voted for the Dem Caucus candidate for Speaker, he's a worthless fucking piece of shit on all counts.

If, as is likely (though the converse is possible), Clark loses the nomination, the only thing that worthless fucking piece of shit Taylor will do is endorse Bush anyway, why should his endorsement be anything more than a worthless fucking piece of shit endorsement from a worthless fucking piece of shit Congressman?

3. I hate Gene Taylor

Of the 435 members of the House, he's 434th on my list of favorites, and he sometimes gives Tom Delay a run for 435th.

DeLay, at least, doesn't steal his seat every two years pretending to be something he's not.

Besides, "converse" is a "thoughtful" word, isn't it?

Taylor voted for Murtha both times. So Taylor's vote was really a statement about the direction he wanted to take the Democratic party, one we certainly don't agree with, but it's not as bad as just refusing to Pelosi like Hall and 2 others.

I'd rank him around 230, ahead of most any Republican except a few north eastern liberal rethugs. Just my opinion. What's important about the article is the point it makes about Clark being able to bring back groups that have the potential to significantly broaden the coalition that is the Democratic party.

If the Democrats NEED the Gene Taylors, then why bother? We have to surrender too much of our soul to a constituency that is as best nominally competitive, and, I might add, a constituency that has consistently betrayed party unity for, oh, 60 years.

Therefore, I return to my original "thoughtful" reply. FUCK Gene Taylor. If he wants to vote for Clark, good, that's one vote in a state that won't go Dem for President anyway. Otherwise, his endorsement is worthless.

Especially those in the Housse and Senate. Get down to a solid 150 progressives in the house and 28-30 true progressives in the Senate. If they can't vote 100% left, we don't need 'em-they should go Republican.

Jim Marshall (D-3rd) and Sanford Bishop (D-2nd). Both are Congressmen from Georgia that have voting records similar to Taylor's, and both served for brief periods in the military during Vietnam.

he was on. He had out graphs and charts showing how these supposed tax cuts were going to jack up the deficit and then said something along the lines of "Tell me the reason you came to Congress was to bankrupt the country." He may sell out the Dems on a lot of issues but this isn't one of them. I have no doubt he'd vote to repeal them.
