They're different types of candidates. I'm not trying to be mean, but Dean is more like Bush. He appeals to your heart than your head. Consequently, supporters seem to be more active and enthusiastic. Kerry appeals more to the head and to the mind. He does not have the same kind of feverish support that more emotional candidates like Dean possess, but he does have a strong base of extremely dedicated supporters who may not revere their candidate like a celebrity, but as a man of vision. I think Dean will always be better than Kerry at money-raising. But Kerry isn't that far behind.

If Kerry's a standstill, then so is everybody else. Let's just presume you're a Dean supporter, which is the most probable conclusion since you say that about Kerry. Are you honestly saying that Dean is going to be more progressive than Kerry?

Let's see, cutting dependence on ME oil, starting a new Manhattan Project for renewable energy, improving foreign relations, improving the economy, giving the middle class tax cuts, eliminating corporate loopholes in off-shore HQs, gearing our firefighters and policemen so they are equipped to do their jobs properly, working to create at least gay civil unions nationwide, strengthening gun control, improving education, etc. This is John Kerry's vision. Is this the status quo right now?

I never said that ALL of Dean's supporters are what you call "brainless boobs". All I said was that Dean has a more emotional appeal than Kerry, which is true. Where'd you come up with that "brainless boobs" anyway?

But let's face the facts. If policies and history was everything, then Kerry would win hands down. People like Dean because of his showmanship, or rhetorical appeal, whatever you want to call it. People like Kerry because of his intelligence and thoughtful policies. Are you going to say it's the other way around?

I prefer Dean's history and policy to that of Kerry. It is a close call but Dean is better to me. I also think he is better able to win than Kerry is. Which is paramount to me.

The world never cohesively agrees on everything. There are people who doubt the Holocaust, doubt the world's rotundity, doubt the moon landing, etc. Preferring Dean is in no way comparable to those outrageous claims, but I'm just saying there's no way in hell we will all agree on things.
