Activists use Internet to attack as well as support

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) Classical pianist Eric Huebner, as adept at his computer keyboard as he is at the ivories, is trying to turn Howard Dean's vaunted Internet presence against the former Vermont governor.

He helped to create an Internet site called www.wafflepoweredhoward.com to question the credentials of the front-running Democratic presidential candidate, who has seized computer technology to vault to the front of the 10-person pack.

``I think it is important for other candidates to not completely cede the Internet to Dean,'' Huebner said. ``There are other candidates. There are people like (John) Kerry who have lots of online supporters. I think it's important for us to have a voice online, too, albeit smaller.''
