Vanessa Kerry, daughter of Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), met with a group of 21 Emory students Thursday to promote her father's presidential campaign.
The meeting was part of 26-year-old Kerry's tour to help her father attract young voters.
Kerry said she plans to visit several colleges before the presidential primaries.
Young Democrats of Emory brought the politician's daughter to campus for a bipartisan student debate. Many students fired questions at Kerry, asking about her father's politics and her own objectiveness.
"Yes, I'm biased," Kerry said. "I am my father's daughter, but I'm also his hardest critic."
Kerry said she decided to join her father's campaign of her own volition. She said her father expressed concerns about it, but she believed so strongly in his desire to help the American people that she needed to take action.
"I'm young," she said. "I'm your age, and I'd like to think that I can make a difference."
