NY poll: Clark and Dean neck and neck; all beat Bush
A new Quinnipiac University Poll has good news for followers of Gen. Clark and Gov. Dean--statistically tied for the support of the state voters in the primary.

Clark: 18%
Dean 17% (up from 9% since last poll in June)
Lieberman 13% (down from 23% in June)
Kerry 12% (down from 14% in June)
Sharpton 6% (down from 11%)
Mosley Braun 6% (no change)
Gephardt 5% (down from 9%)
Edwards 4% (no change)
Kucinich 2% (up from 1%)
Graham under 1%
Undecided: 16%

**Clark comes out of the gate strongly, but also since the last poll in June Dean almost doubles his support going from 9% to 17%. The real loser is Lieberman who goes from from 23% in June to 13% now.

Against Bush all of our leading candidates beat Bush:
Clark: 48%
Bush: 41%

Lieberman: 49%
Bush: 42%

Kerry: 48%
Bush: 43%

Dean: 47%
Bush: 43%

Gep: 46%
Bush: 44%

Bush's approval rating plummets to a new low in NY--42% positive and 53% negative. In June it was 52/42 percent positive.

1. good news, but not too surprising given how he's treating NY

between the economy, the crude instrumentalization of the 9/11 attacks on New York City, and more importantly I think, the lies his administration told New Yorkers about air quality after 9/11, I think it was almost inevitable that New York would see the light and realize where their interests lie...

But this is good news.

3. Looks like the only thing ...
you need to beat AWOL is a pulse.

I am surprised Leiberman beat him. I am glad Joe's numbers are failing. Please quit Joe. Please switch parties Joe. Stop denying your real party allegence.

Cheers

4. Wonder if W has a rabbit in his hat
Or if his 'suprise' is just going to be the fact that he's not invading anymore countries.
