Bob Graham Spokesman Resigns
WASHINGTON - The spokesman for Democrat Bob Graham's presidential campaign resigned Thursday as his staff considered how to save his lagging candidacy.

Jamal Simmons told Graham and his wife, Adele, that he was leaving as the candidate prepared to meet with his advisers at his Miami Lakes, Fla., headquarters to discuss the campaign's future.

Graham, a senator who is one of the most popular leaders in his home state of Florida, has struggled near the bottom of the 10-way Democratic presidential primary. He trails most of his rivals in fund raising and polls, and some advisers want him to quit the race.

Graham is expected to report raising around $2 million in the three-month period that ended Tuesday, which probably will place him behind six of his rivals. He had raised $3.1 million to date.

5. I don't think Braun or Sharpton are really trying to win
so they don't need the same money as Graham does to just stay technically "in the race." I hope Graham does win reelection in Florida and I hope his poor showing on the presidential campaign doesn't somehow negatively affect his strength at home.
