Lieberman shreds Shrub's integrity at DNC meeting

http://www.joe2004.com/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=5922

"You know, after reading about the pill popping, skirt chasing, Hitler praising Republicans, it's very tempting to point out their hypocrisy. But is it the right thing to do? Absolutely!"
<snip>

"...there has been one value repeatedly missing from this presidency: integrity. The people who run this White House haven't trusted the American people enough to level with them, and so the American people are now losing their trust in this White House".

1. Don't care if it's Lieberman
I love that red meat! I'm having trouble seeing Joe Lieberman, who is essentially Richie Cunningham all grown up, saying "pill popping, skirt chasing, Hitler praising Republicans," but the line is priceless.

Good for you Joe. See how losing builds character?

6. Sorry, but it's too little too late
I'm sick of making excuses for people- JL had his head so far up Bush's ass when this war started you couldn't tell where Bush ended and Lieberman began. Colin Powell- same thing- he knows what Bush and company are and what they are doing to this country and why, yet sticks with them. He can go to hell, too, and I used to be a big fan.

It's time for make people accountable for this mess, their part in letting it happen, and stop making excuses for their past behavior.

I hope they replay it on C-Span.

5. Props to Joe

I heard part of his speech over my lunch hour, and I was quite impressed. He made many excellent points -- I was even tempted to take notes at certain points so I could use a few of his quotes.

As someone who usually finds Joe to be the least inspiring of the candidates, I listened to that speech and was actually glad to have him on our team.

Good Job!
