11. In all fairness

I wonder if it has to do with people's perception of his health. The first time I had a chance to sit through a whole debate uninterrupted was shortly after Kerry had surgery. He looked pretty bad at the time, only I didn't know he'd been sick, so I assumed he always looked that pale and just unwell. He's got that tall sort of gangly build, and I think that with his paleness just really gave him a sort of ghoulish appearance. Having seen him since then he's obviously recovering very well, and I have to give the man credit for some beautiful zingers!

when he first just said the thing about some people thinking a guy without a prostate can't be president it was funny itself just because it sounded funny, but loved it when he followed by saying something about how it's ok since republicans don't need a heart to be president.

12. Dean was spirited & Kerry just whooped a whole lotta @ss

I like how Dean brought race up, and Bush's use of "quotas". He's said this many times when he speaks and everytime it's just as true.

Kerry really impressed me most out of the bunch. He was speaking with authority and did not stumble for words. The lighting did hide his eyes sometimes but he is looking healthier than past debates where he seemed sleepy.

I loved his line about bein a president with out a prostate, but rethuglians presidents have gotten into office with out a heart. I LOL at that singer. He needs to give those people coming up with his jokes a raise. Classic.

His diss on Clark was tasteful as he didn't go full out on the offensive but rather made a subliminal jab.

16. I just watched...

thought JK did great. It was a real red meat performance, and the crowd seemed to really respond. I did not watch any of the other candidates, so I cant cross compare.

Deep down inside I want a Kerry/Clark or Kerry/Edwards ticket (mostly because I think the #2 slot is a great fit for Clark -- lots of diplomatic work and good training on the domestic front). So, when I read on the board that Kerry "went after" Clark, I was concerned.

After having watched though, I felt good about it. John Kerry's record of service - specifically to the democratic party -- is unmatched by anyone in this race. I'd say Gephardt has the second longest record of service to the party's ideals, and Clark has an equally impressive record of service -- in the military mostly. I felt that JK did a great job of highlighting his achievements in front of an audience that should be reminded. Was it a subtle jab? Yes. Did it say Wes Clark was an unfit candidate? No.

To me, he said simply, "Look, I've been a warrior on these issues for 40 years. Please remember that."

17. I think your assessment

of how Kerry "went after" other candidates is spot on. He was reminding folks whose life work is for the Democratic Party that he has been fighting right along side them for many, many years.

I also like your ticket predictions (or hopes). The platforms for those three candidates seems to be so similar, that I believe either of them are possible, and it does give the ticket some "southern exposure" :D

15. He Had The Same Energy In Boston

And when I saw him in New Hampshire, rallying the activists. If you compare him to what he was like only a few months ago, the transformation is amazing. He has clearly recovered, and is all piss and vinegar now!
