Dennis Kucinich statement on Graham
Senator Graham’s Voice Will Be Missed

October 6, 2003
"I want to congratulate Senator Graham on a great run. His voice in this campaign will be sorely missed. I now remain the only candidate who voted against the war on Iraq.

"I intend to wage a campaign around the country in opposition to the ongoing occupation. Senator Graham’s supporters who opposed the war have lost a good candidate. I intend to listen to their concerns."

4. Thanks for posting this.
I probably would have missed it, otherwise.

Whether you personally support a particular candidate or not, it occurs to me:

Every one of the ten has answered a call; our call for someone to stand up for us and to take back our country. Every one of the ten has my heart-felt appreciation for doing so.

5. Dennis is a really honorable man
He refuses to say anything negative about anyone. He cancelled one fundraiser when he heard a labor dispute was going on. Everything he says, even when it's attacked, turns out to be true.

He seems to good to believe. If Jesus were running for President, he would run as Dennis Kucinich.

6. In Santa Fe, someone asked him why he wasn't going after the other
candidates, and Bush. He said he would differentiate policies, but not anything personal.
He wouldn't call anyone Bush-lite, for example.Adn he sure wouldn't approve of us calling Bush "chimpy" and turd-blossom "turd-blossom" and Condi a "bitch." He is such a good example to us. I wish more of our candidates were like him in not playing dirty.

Honorable is the right word.

9. Paraphrasing.
Policies only, not the politics of personal destruction, are the targets of his criticism.

You haven't heard him call anyone Bush-lite(even though some of them are,) and you haven't heard him criticize others for claiming Wellstone's mantle(even though it obviously belongs to him.)

11. Since I am not running for office...........
I will still refer to the "simian-faced idiot who is not qualified to mow his own lawn." After all, it speaks to his qualifications, enit?

Dennis Kucinich is a great candidate, and a real individual with leadership skills and qualifications. I too admired Senator Graham and his place in the campaign.

As a private citizen, when politicians and their policies show no respect for myself or other "common citizens", and little or no respect for democracy and the principles upon which the government has been built, then they deserve not my respect. Of course, there are other ways to show disrespect than referring to the "simian-faced idiot," but the moniker fits a certain individual quite well.

Too many feel that the mere office of the top US political executive deserves respect all by itself. I am not one of them.
