2. Hi goobergunch
Intresting poll. That race is a referendum on the "Bush economy"What are your thoughts on the Oklahoma senate race? Brad Carson or Drew Edmundson. Do you think this is a pickup? It is bizarre that not counting Illinois, our two best pick oppurtunity's are in Alaska and Oklahoma.

3. I think we have a good shot at OK
It's probably a pure TOSS-UP, with Carson running and Edmonson possibly running. Hopefully we can beat Istook.

4. Oklahoma is a Tossup
I like Edmonson, but Carson would be a good candidate. I would hope that one of them steps aside to avoid a brutal primary.

5. One problem

26% of Democrats are crossing over to Fletcher. Chandler can't win with numbers like that.

He needs to tie down the base better. Without it he is going to lose the race.

6. given what happened in Ca we need to hold onto KY
and Mississippi and pick up La. It is a tall order but it would be a big shot in the arm if it happened. I guess i'm pleased it's as close as it is.

8. biased?
Are you sure you're thinking of the right polling outfit? In '02 SUSA were the only people to give Brad Henry a lead in OK, and they also gave consistently higher numbers to Kirk, Sanders, Carnahan, etc. in senate races. In fact, I can remember people saying they had a pro-Dem bias after they showed Sanders within 1 point of Graham.

Their methodology is not the greatest (computerized calls), but they aren't biased IMHO.
