We need to learn something from the Republicans
Their gestapo tactics, like we saw in California, WORK. And they work because WE PLAY BY THE RULES AND THEY DON'T.

The petitions to recall Ahnuld should start circulating IMMEDIATELY. As in right now. We can't file them until May, but we can start them now like the Republicans did.

We can raise the money to pay signature gatherers, just like Issa did. Start collecting funds over the internet. Learn from Dean!

After that, the next step is to start recall petitions against EVERY Republican Governor in a state that allows a recall. Every single one. Especially in Louisiana if the Republican wins the runoff. START THEM TODAY.

It's time the Republicans learn one of my favorite rules of politics: if you're gonna piss in the well, don't complain when it's your turn to drink.

1. People wouldn't go for another recall.
Besides, I'd rather let Arnold serve his term and let it be the disaster that it likely will be. It would be a good kick in the ass to the American public by showing that politics isn't a game.

2. Several factors
Davis had a really low approval rating. Arnold has a (sort of) really high approval rating. If a recall is started before approval drops, the dems are going to look like spiteful little idiots.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT happy about Arnold! And I live in CA, in the bay area so I have to deal with it. I agree that we need to fight, but we have to fight smart, not flailing around and wasting energy in things that make us lose support.

4.  Democrats control both houses in the CA legislature.
What they need to do is float a referendum to remove the recall statute from the state Constitution and be done with it.

5. Um, This Is A Pretty Crappy Idea
If the GOP wants to take America down the toilet, we don't have to hand them a paddle.

The American people are jaded enough already. The GOP will get their due soon enough. Behaving in the same infantile way will only distance more Americans from the process in the long run.

We need to do a better job of getting out the the right message, not simply appropriating the flip side of their bad ideas.

And being the opposite of Bush does not necessarily make you right.
