Issue 6

You did not miss last week's newsletter. With the craziness that surrounds the end of a quarter, we just did not get it out. Dennis and the entire campaign staff want to thank you for all of the support each of you have given and for helping the campaign exceed its goal for third quarter contributions.
October is going to be a busy month for Kucinich supporters. Today, Oct. 8th, our favorite candidate is turning 57 years old. On October 10th, the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty calls for observance of the first ever World Day Against the Death Penalty.
On October 11, we'll be celebrating National Coming Out Day. Then on October 13th, 14th and 15th, we’ll gather once again at house parties across the nation to celebrate a very, very happy occasion. On a whirlwind tour blasting through 11 or 12 states, Dennis Kucinich will make it official. He will publicly announce his bid for the White House. It is a most joyous month...mostly.
As we mentioned in a previous issue of K-News, we are coming upon the anniversary of the death of Senator Paul Wellstone, who died, along with members of his family, in a plane crash on October 25. That's going to be a hard day for so many of us who remember exactly where and with whom we were when we heard the news. But we must press on, right? Paul would want it that way.
So let October be a month of serious reflection, Wellstonian compassion, and decisive action. Let it be the month of inclusion as we invite others to join our cause.
By now you've noticed we like to promote the National Volunteer Forum. It's the best place to get national exposure for your ideas and to preview new ones from across the country. Maybe you’re wondering, "How do we engage new supporters?" Or "How can we raise money for Dennis?" Or "Where can I learn more about the issues?" Whatever your questions are, check out the forum first. It's a veritable garage sale of action items that will move this campaign forward. Because it benefits from the creativity of the people doing the work (i.e., volunteers like you), you never know what interesting things you'll find in the FREE pile!
