Why Do Stars Shine Only On GOP?
Democrats have many reasons to be flipped out by Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, R- Calif. But by far the biggest is that they have no Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wesley Clark is no Terminator, to put it mildly.

The Democrats having been getting shellacked in the celebrity politician wars for decades. They have never cast a truly A-list celebitician into a starring role.

Maybe this helps explain why liberals, eggheads and Democrats have condemned the trespassing of non-professionals into politics so shrilly. They’ve never had one. They’re jealous.

2. I'll happily trade you
15 IQ points, two Mickey Mantle rookie cards, and Arnold for a Janeane Garofalo run for governor in 2006. We have the resources in terms of celebrity, but ours are smarter. I wonder how impressive Arnold would be if he showed the voters his muscle-turned flab?

3. Double standard
If a democrat runs and happens to be from Hollywood they scream
if a connie runs and he happens to be GOP they applaud.

This is a problem with our state run media

6. I agree. Harrison Ford *should* run for something.
He'd kick major butt no matter what office he ran for. :)

How about Ben Affleck or Chris Rock or Robin Willians? Can you imagine how entertaining Robin Williams's press conferences would be?

8. You guys are all off base. We need someone who plays more violent roles!
Someone who kills at least 100 people per movie. Haven't we learned anything from Junior and Ah-no? The stupider and more violent the better. #1 priority is a pleasing face not a mind!

10. Uhm... because they're actors
and they know that. They aren't under the delusion that because they have particular political views that they suddenly become qualified to govern. They respect politicians and the work they do. They see themselves with a different role, as citizen activists. They don't view the world as 'you must be a ruler to make change'. There's probably a host of reasons liberals don't become politicians, and don't try to. And liberals really haven't condemned the trespassing of non-professionals into politics. Republicans did that and it's stunning that they're being allowed to get away with it consider they're apparently the 'party of the stars'. The hypocrisy of Republicans is what's being condemned.
