Kucinich touches down in Madison, Wisconsin

Kucinich touches down in Madison, Wisconsin
Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich endorsed a $7.75 minimum wage for the city of Madison on Monday and promised to break up corporate monopolies, which are "strangling" Wisconsin dairy farmers, if elected.

It is time to get the U.N. in and the U.S. out", Kucinich declared in a fiery speech to a couple of hundred supporters at the Wisconsin Aviation airport hangar on Madison's North Side.

The promise of hope is powerful, and when someone extends the message and taps into the many different centers of energy ... whether it be dairy farmers, laborers, young people, the uninsured, etc., a current is built when these ripples cross one another ...

It was a beautiful night here last night in Minnesota, so what gives? Our candidate pulled away from Roosevelt High on the way to the airport (about 10 minutes away) at about 7:15. What happened thereafter?

10. The report in Chicago was the weather held him up, but maybe-
it was just air-traffic instead? When he called in, after we determined he couldn't get to Chicago before the conference room had to be vacated, he did mention something about traffic over Chicago, so maybe someone mixed the facts up. Thanks, I was wondering what the heck happened in Minnesota!

The only facts I had were that he couldn't get clearance to take off even as late as 8:30pm, and that it wasn't looking good for him to make it. I posted about this in another thread, and while it was disappointing not to see Dennis as we'd all hoped to do, the trip was well worth it.(I drove up from Indianapolis) I met peope I've spoken to online for months, met new people who have the same ideas about humanity as I do, and got to see Studs Terkel. Let's face it folks, the man isn't getting any younger, and I've noticed every time I skip a chance to see someone I admire something bad happens to them. Shoot maybe I gave Studs another 10 years!*LOL*

Dennis is all about "lifting up America"...well friends, we were as uplifted as we could get without his presence to finish the job, and lemme tell ya that was a mighty high level as it was. I'm glad I went, and surely I'll see Dennis one of these times. More incentive to find him a spot to speak here in Indiana I guess, right? :toast:
