Quinnipiac poll on various NY pols. Spitzer in NY's favorite politician
Edited on Thu Oct-16-03 08:26 PM by AP
snips:
Gov. George Pataki's approval rating has inched up to 46 -- 42 percent, after languishing at 43 -- 45 percent (up from his lowest net approval ever on April 23)
...
Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has the highest approval of any statewide official, 62 -- 15 percent, followed by Sen. Hillary Clinton with 61 -- 33 percent and Sen. Charles Schumer with 60 -- 24 percent. This is Sen. Clinton's highest approval ever.

Interesting that the guy who's making his name fighting corporate abuse is the favorit, Hillary and Schumer are right behind him on the approvals, but those disapprove numbers for Spitzer are remarkable.

This is from Oct 2

4. I only hope
that his successor is as agressive as he has been. Since the Justice Department refuses to prosecute corporate criminals, at least SOMEONE is looking out for the little guy.

5. can he be attorney general of united states ?
or would you rather have him governor of new york ? while i'm not from new york, the state is influential enough that it's important to me and others outside of the state and even country who is governor of new york. and elliot spitzer there would be a huge thing for the democratic party nationally. but i also think he would ma ke a good attorney general of the united states.
