Standing by your principles:
It attracts supporters from all over!

http://www.monumentnews.com/2003/news/1016/1016c.shtml

"He isn't selling a line," Wurtz said on Monday. "He speaks from the heart. He's a trustworthy, honest person."

Wurtz jumped on the Kucinich bandwagon after attending a house party early this past Summer organized by campaign volunteers in North Windham. She said she watched a video of a speech Kucinich gave and was sold after Kucinich outlined his position against the war with Iraq, his desire to cut the Defense Department budget, and to establish a Department of Peace.

"I'm a peace person," Wurtz said. "So someone who wants to set up a Department of Peace has my vote. He's a man who stands by his principles."

4. Yep.
I ran across this quote this morning:

Internal peace is an essential first step to achieving peace in the world. How do you cultivate it? It's very simple. In the first place by realizing clearly that all mankind is one, that human beings in every country are members of one and the same family.

-the Dalai Lama

We sure have divorced much of the rest of our "family" the last few years. I'd like to see us at least head back in that direction.

3. I've been waiting for my "peace dividend" since 1992
...when Clinton first promised it at the end of the Cold War. Of course, yet more new pentagon "programs" were needed to protect us from the eeeeeeeeeeeevil menace of Iraq, Somalia, Serbia, Afghanistan, etc.

The Pentagon budget is still way too big for the defense this country needs. Kucinich is one of two candidates who KNOWS this, and is not afraid to eliminate unneeded (and often UNWANTED) programs, and put that money to better use rebuilding our much-neglected infrastructure.

DK's message is one that resonates with many different people-- not just "liberals" and "progressives", but many independents and conservatives who are sick of how we've neglected the core of this nation of ours.

Dennis has the message, the experience and the ability to make this country a better place, and return us to a respected place in the world community.

5. Was it Martin who said
'Peace is not the goal, it's the means to the goal' (or words to that effect)?

So much good stuff & good vibes around Dennis.....its getting to be more of a challenge to keep up with it all- and that is a good thing.

Here in Zona we are working on making this Sat Oct 25th "DVD"....."Dennis Visibility Day" to coincide with the peace rallys and house parties all over the nation....

9. DVD day? I like that!
I am spending this Saturday helping a good friend "raise" a tipi. No politicking involved. Still, I'll bet there is something I could do to make him more visible around here...
