My first campaign effort for Howard Dean will happen this weekend!
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 11:56 AM by HawkeyeX
This weekend is the Deaf Worldwide Expo. Of course, I've prepared everything by contacting the Deaf Americans for Dean, talked to the national director, Thomas Green, and was given an brochure in Adobe format, which I then converted into about 500 brochures (I'm making a pickup tomorrow) and I've also printed at my school's expense about 125 color Dean community flyers. I also have my Deaf Americans for Dean shirt which looks like this:

The back of the shirt spells D-E-A-N in ASL fingerspelling.

Here is the brochure (Adobe Acrobat Reader required).

Oh, and I'm going to be roving. I don't have a table or anything.

Any advice?

(I have a laptop, but no Internet connection, and besides, the wife doesn't want me to bring it to the Expo)

2. Very cool Hawkeye!
Careful about doing campaigning at school expense though. Not sure how that would look if some 'puke tried to make something of it...

3. Well.
The interim president is conservative and there's a movement to kick him out.

Also, the school is state-funded and it's suffered deep cuts thanks to the Repukkks in the Capitol (Governor Owens and his Republican henchmens in both sides of the Senate and House), plus there was a recent controversy about David Horowitz coming to Auraria Campus to unload his diatribe (I attended and protested too). Our student body president was recently under fire for protesting the David Horwitz visit and the committee recently rejected the Repuklicans request to remove her from power.

Let me see if I can dig up an article about this. It happened last week, so it should be in the archives somewhere..

Here. SGA President to stay put

By the way, if I see this Danielle Robinson on campus, I'm giving her a earful. A big earful.

8. Yup.
You? I know one other DU'er that also goes to Metro State. We both attended the David Horowitz farce.

Tha tguy is just another right wing blowhard. I heard him on with Greg Dobbs.
