Why does Dailykos.com post speculation about a Dean Union endorsement
and not a word about Kerry's two huge endorsements from the IAFF (Firefighters, membership:250,000) and the UWUA (Utility Workers, membership 50,000) just yesterday?

Is it because he's afraid his little boy Dean might be taken down by big man Kerry?

1. Because Kos
"Does some technical work for the Dean campaign." I used to like him and his site. But he is a slimeball. He got tired of the criticism so now his forum isn't as open as it was before.

3. in what way do you think it's not as open as it used to be?
please explain?

he switched the platform he runs the site on a few weeks ago and it's actually a lot more "open" now.

anyone who registers (which is free) can now add their own mini-blog to the site and post whatever they want.

7. You're kidding?
With all the subtle barbs toward any candidate but Dean Kos should rename the site DailyDean. This is from a 'connected labor source':

"AFSCME is a tougher case to figure at this point--except that they will certainly do something different from SEIU, given the rivalry between these two giants. McEntee wants a "winner" and has always thought that the war hero credential would be crucial in this cycle. He is also not impressed with Dean. But both Kerry and Clark continue to stumble. Kerry numbers have not picked up in New Hampshire, except for that one anomalous poll--I think he's about out of time with AFSCME. I think AFSCME will delay their endorsement as long as possible, to give Clark more time to get his act together, but I don't think he has done enough to close the sale anytime soon. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that SEIU endorses Dean in two weeks, but AFSCME waits things out for a bit, perhaps until the end of the year."

6. Not A Dupe
This about Kos cherry-picking news stories, not any one story.

8. Kos Sucks and has for quite a while.
Kos hasn't been worth a shit since he started drinking the Dean Kool-Aide. His site isn't much better than blogforamerica at this point. I still check it once in awhile to see if there's anything that not blatently pro-Dean, but those pieces are few and far between lately.

Anyhoo, Atrios/Eschaton always did a better job, IMHO, and found the real stories much more often than Kos.

:nuke:

11. I don't think it's jealousy
I think it's just fact. The site has turned into a Dean cheerleading squad. Some of their comments and posts are still reasonable, but the vast majority consider this primary process to be a waste of time, as they have already crowned the winner.

It's cool. It's his site, he can be pro-Dean if he wants. But it is definitely not much use for the rest of us, so we stopped posting for the most part. Which of course, just reinforces their belief that everyone supports Dean.

Oh well.
