Not all surprising that Clark and Bush lead -- in fact, glad to see that Clark is ahead -- but interesting to see how well Dean does.
Why would he poll better than Kerry with Marines?

No, the real answer probably lies in who took the poll, Dean seems to attract a lot of the youngsters so if it was a poll in general of marines, who are predominantly in their early 20's it makes sense.

if you are then maybe you have a right to judge what one person did during Vietnam and what another person didn't. Dean didn't dodge the draft he had a medical excuse and if that is not good enough for you, fine. I'm personally glad he never went to Vietnam which, like Iraq, was a totally wrong-minded and unethical war where thousands of innocent people were killed and over 50,000 of our own soldiers killed--for what?

I do. I admire Kerry for his service. But you don't have to diminish someone else who didn't serve and had an excuse for not serving. Ok, so he spent weeks skiing while others were being killed in Vietnam. Good for him. I wish all those other kids could have done the same.

4. How is the poll limited to the Marines?

It was an online poll (anybody could have voted) - you as a Dean supporter obviously visited the site. Secondly, once Dean's skiing escapades become common knowledge, I wouldn't be counting on any military support for Dean.

10. So, they're going to support Bush?

At least, Dean showed up for his physical. And he's said that if the army had wanted him, he would have gone. They gave him the 1Y. His daddy didn't buy his way into the National Guard, even though his daddy was for sure rich enough to do it.

Being 1Y is rather different from being AWOL, wouldn't you say?
