OK. Based on the debate last night I'd say that ole'Joe needs to be smart and hang it up.
If I were one of the candidates left to go through the primaries I'd pray to God and Allah and whomever else that Joe not endorse me.
Do you agree that a Joe Lieberman endorsement would be the kiss of death?

1. I don't think so

endorsements only matter if someone respects the one making the endorsement. Negative endorsements - that is from someone who you don't think matters - don't matter at all. So if there are some folks who like Lieberman's positions, they'll be positively impacted by an endorsement, but otherwise, it won't hurt.

If he did drop out, I would not expect him to endorse until after the nomination is decided. I don't think he likes any of the candidates :D

2. Not necessarily. I think it would pretty much be a non-event.

I certainly don't think it would doom anyone's campaign.

Now, make him the VP candidate on said campaign, and it's another story!

And whether you or I agree, the guy has supporters and everyone would like to have more of those.
