I am a real fan of the comic strip, "The Continuing Adventures of Cowardly Tom and Bully George," which is drawn by a fourteen year old boy and written by a twelve year old girl. This week, the comic strip goes after the L.A. Times, turncoat Democratic officials and, of course, Bush and Daschle. This comic series started shortly after the 2002 election and it contains a pretty good critique of what's been happening in the federal government for close to the last year. In addition to taking on Bush and Daschle, the comic has gone after Nader, Kissinger, Cheney, Powell, Ashcroft, Rumsfelt, Franks, Blair, Santorium, Lott, Frist, Feinstein, Fox News, CNN, NBC, Baybee, Kuhl, Sutton and other judicial nominees,Bush's family, a number of the candidates, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Green Party, and a host of others. I understand the only person the kids have avoided mentioning is Karl Rove, mostly because they don't want to wind up like Jim Hatfield or Paul Wellstone.
The current issue (53) and all the back issues of the comic can be seen at
