Throughout his career in public service he has been ready to hold government accountable again and again. He blew the whistle on Ronald Reagan and Oliver North's secret war in Central America. He exposed Manuel Noriega's drug laundering operation. And he wrote a nationally acclaimed book on fighting global terrorism long before September 11th.

John Kerry is a decorated veteran, an experienced public servant, and a man of integrity. But most of all, he has the personal courage and integrity that I want in the leader of our great nation.

George Bush's Administration has betrayed our trust - I know that personally. I am honored to endorse John Kerry and to commit myself to his campaign to wrest our democracy back from those who have so squandered the public trust.

But after watching Kerry self-destruct last night on Charlie Rose, I have every confidence that he will never be president, or even a nominee. That was embarrassing......

He was tough on Bush. But he answered every other question with an attack on Dean. Kerry spent more time trashing Dean's positions than explaining his own. He seemed desperate. Completely programmed. And he seemed.....finished. I'm sure Karl Rove loved every second of it.

I think Kerry had to begin the public process of unmasking Dean's various positions on Iraq, which many commentators are finally beginning to pay attention to - as they should.

Dennis Kucinich, at his website, rightly pointed out how hypocritical Dean's claims are, especially in comparison to Kucinich's consistent, no-wiggle-room, stand against the war.

This goes to character, and based on his consistently misleading statements with regard to his various positions on the war in comparison to John Kerry's, Dean's character is very definitely open to question. If Dean truly wants to be a straight-talker, he only needs to admit that he told Ron Brownstein and Salon magazine one thing about his position on the war, and the Newshour something completely different, all within a mere 27 day period. He has to admit how utterly inconsistent he has been, and then take the heat. If he continues his cover-up, well, you know what they say about the cover-up being worse than the original mistake...

was very good. charlie rose was also very interested in what kerry had to say. he seemed to be really gettting into the interview. asked some great tough questions. charlie rose is one of the few non-whore reporters. it would be good to see him moderate a debate(s).

13. One of his best performances

He was outstanding last night. Answered every question, differentiated his views from Howard Dean's, answered even more 'what if' scenarios on Iraq, he was great. If Howard Dean EVER had to suffer under the kind of intense questioning Kerry does, he'd get pisssed off and make a fool of himself. Ever notice that Dean tends to make his stupidest comments in interviews?

I watched the show. I've got it taped, in fact. I can't find what you are referring to. Was it when he pointed out many contradictions in the stated positions of Howard Dean? Was it when he slammed Bushler top-to-bottom over the Iraq Invasion? Was it when he outlined how he had worked to fight terrorism in the 1990s? Was it when he told Charlie to wait a minute and let him complete his statement every time Charlie tried to bring it on to something of less consequence?

I thought Kerry did very well on Charlie Rose last night. His ideas are more thoughtful and detailed than can be expressed during the debates, so this was a great forum for him. It makes me laugh that every debate analyst complained that he failed to distinguish himself from Dean, but as soon as he does, people want to say he blew the interview. Can't please everyone....

If elected President, John Kerry will bring the BFEE to justice. Kerry knows where the bodies are — from BCCI and Jackson Stephens to Iran-Contra drug running by Ollie North and Vice Prez Poppy does Adnan Khashoggi. And if people want to get to the bottom of 9-11 and protect the country from more terrorism courtesy of the BFEE, they will support Kerry, too.
