Independent poll shows Jindal with 11-point lead
I would have dismissed "Market Research Insight" as a biased polling firm (not knowing their work), but they were the only firm showing Blanco ahead outside the MOE three weeks ago. This has been a monster shift away from her. From +10% to -11% in just over two weeks (and with just four days to go!)

BATON ROUGE — Republican Bobby Jindal had an 11-point lead over Democrat Kathleen Blanco in an independent poll out Thursday, the first such survey showing Jindal with a clear lead.

Jindal had 49 percent compared to Democrat Kathleen Blanco’s 38 percent in the independent poll by Verne Kennedy of Marketing Research Insight of Pensacola, Fla.

The poll is the first survey outside the party camps showing Jindal with a lead outside the 4-point margin of error inherent in polling data.

In related news? We're going to lose the other two big races next week as well. Added to the latest economic news, we are having a rough week.

1. Yep. We've had better weeks.
Losing Kentucky I kind of expected given how right-wing that state has become and just how much Patton screwed up(bad pun). Mississippi is still too close for me to write off. However, this is really disturbing. Lousiana should be ours and it looks like we have let it slip away from us. It is time to boot Terry and to entire "establishment" for that matter. They screwed up in 2000(it shouldn't have been that close), 2002, and now it looks like we will get creamed in this round.

2. You're not helping :-(
You are supposed to point out why these numbers can't possibly be right. Not agree with them.

On further review of the article:

"Kennedy has been polling Louisiana since the late 1960s and has a reputation for extreme accuracy. He has polled for both Republicans and Democrats in 22 states.

In Louisiana, he has been polling the governor’s race all year for a group of wealthy businessmen who included both Jindal and Blanco contributors. He has discussed his data with both camps."

3. I'm sorry.
But I don't hide from reality. I accept the fact we have had it handed to us recently and I study what we can do to change it.
