Facing Global Climate Change
Facing Global Climate Change

John Kerry took a last minute break from the campaign trail today to head back to Washington for an important vote for our environment. An environmental leader who has always had the courage to stand up for a cleaner, greener America, John Kerry would not miss this crucial decision concerning our climate. Here's what he said:

"Today's vote to kill bipartisan climate change legislation was yet another example of President Bush and his Republican colleagues in the Congress repeatedly choosing to put the wants of their special interest contributors ahead of the needs of America's families.
"I am disappointed that this common sense approach to tackle global warming was rejected by the U.S. Senate today. This bipartisan legislation provided an innovative solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the short-term, but at the same time provide market-based flexibility to minimize the costs to industry.

"The challenge of addressing global warming is upon us, and if we let it continue unabated, its impacts are potentially devastating not only to the environment and health, but to our economy. Instead of these repeated efforts to do the bidding of corporate polluters, we need a president who will take on these special interests and put the needs of America's families first."

1. Scientists estimate that 160,000 people die each year
because of global warming, and our wonderful leader Bush* says we should just get used to the warmer temperatures. What an idiot psychopath.

3. There is Dean freaks beloved Robert Byrd
He's such an honorable Democrat, he'd protest a war but doesn't care about global warming. No really, he's a real inspiration.
