Dean blankets Michigan...
The campaign just opened its third office in the state recently in Lansing. It has two other offices in Detroit and Livonia...

The expansion of cnavassing has begun in ernest! Last weekend three wards were canvassed in the Lansing area and we know have phone banks going every night for two hours....

When the break comes this semester (after I turn in my grades) I'm going to be out canvassing twice a week, doing some data entry and I'm even considering trying my hand at phone banking once or twcie a week....maybe make them my Dean Days....

It is real interesting canvassing...people are real eager to hear what you have to say and are very receptive. People have gotten so use to being ignored by the party that they are actually (pleasantly) surprised that someone has taken the time to connect with them!!! And it goes a long way towards your candidate!!!

Registration is going great as well....about one out of every three dems are not registered when we ask!!!! (and yes we register ALL the dems!!!) Get out into the streets people!!!! That's where we are going to win this thing!!!!!

That and the mega bucks we'll raise when the call for money goes out in the general election!!!!!

2. Hey, do you have a number for the office in Livonia?
I work in Livonia and need to get some bumper stickers. I live on the east side of Detroit and will try to make the meetup. It's the first Wednesday of ghe month, right?

4. What many analysts seem to be missing...
is that the early grassroots work that Dean did, with Meetup and so forth, is going to pay off huge in several states. People are already organized, and when the campaign comes in and sets up an office, it's good to go.
