This is just one of the tidbits of information from a Washington Post article. Dean is moving forward in wooing more traditional Washington support now that he has emerged as a front runner for the nomination.
Lynn Cutler, a Former DNC vice chair who supports Dean is quoted as saying that at a book signing party for Madeline Albright that an unnamed former Clinton administration cabinet secretary will be endorsing Dean sometime this week.
That Hillary R. Clinton is "increasingly intrigued" by Dean.
Rep. Bob Matsui, the Chairman of the House Congressional Campaign Committee, believes that Dean would not be a "drag" on the national ticket if he is nominated and points to things like Dean's committment to helping vulnerable Democrats like Rep. Leonard Boswell of Iowa as a sign--also Dean will be helping about 19 other House Democrats including Rep. Darlene Hooley of Oregon.
"Dean has been most agressive in reaching out to black and hispanic lawmakers whom his advisers consider key to his southern strategy to broaden his appeal from Florida to Arizona."
